About the Flying Fox Cafe

The Flying Fox Café opened in March 2006 and has quickly become one of the most popular destinations. Sydney magazine recently voted Winnererremy Bay as the “best park in Sydney” and we work hard to ensure our service and food complement our spectacular surrounds.

The café has a sail roof and clear screens that open fully on three sides to take advantage of our wonderful location. We have seating for 80 undercover and space for at least 30more in the landscaped garden area at the front of the café. The cooling breezes are great in the warmer months and the screens can be closed and our heaters turned on to keep our customers cosy during the cooler seasons.

We cater to all with our modern Australian menu and relaxed atmosphere and pride ourselves on being very family friendly. In addition to the fabulous park, we have a dedicated kids menu, toys, activities and plenty of highchairs. Cyclists also find our café a great destination and we have bike racks for your convenience. Finally, well-behaved four-pawed family members are welcome at the Flying Fox and provided with bowls of fresh water!

Voted Best Café with Playground. Daily Telegraph; Here's what they had to say:

"Put the words flying fox and cafe in the same sentence and you have a winner.

The Flying Fox Cafe is located on the picturesque southern shores of Pittwater, and the state-of-the-art playground and surrounding parklands have something for everyone.

The great selection of play equipment, like the gigantic spider's web climbing frame and the oversized flying fox, will keep kids of all ages amused for hours while you're sipping a double shot latte on one of the many bench seats dotted throughout the enclosed play area.

And if they tire of the playground, you can head down to the small secluded beach; plenty of mud to squelch between the toes and safe swimming.

If you want to make a day of it, the cafe offers everything from muffins to mains or take advantage of the many picnic tables and electric barbecues.

Don't forget to bring your bikes, rollerblades, scooters and a ball to enjoy the parklands and pathways.
